1. Timer
Where to find: Top right corner of FigJam, under “Collaborate”
This is just a neat tool to help everyone keep track of their time during discussions, brainstorming tasks, breaks, and so on…
We use this tool every week during Design Critique, after the Presenter finishes presenting their work, he/she will set a timer for 10 minutes for everyone else on FigJam to post their comments/feedback on the Design using sticky notes.
2. Conversation
Where to find: Top right corner of FigJam
My computer slows down sometimes when I’m on both FigJam and Google Meet so with this Conversation Feature, there is no need for us to be on Google Meet at all. We can just co-lab directly on FigJam.
3. GIPHY
Where to find: Under Widgets
Finally! Giphy is here on FigJam! The only downside is that FigJam hasn’t have GIFs working correctly yet, but I believe soon we will be able to.
4. Poll
Where to find: Under Widgets
Polls can be an extremely helpful tool for online Team Meetings, Design Critique, Brain Storm Sessions and so on. Facilitator can either have a poll pre-made prior to meeting or create one during meeting since it’s super easy and quick to make.
5. To-Do list
Where to find: Under Widgets
I usually create a To-Do list toward the end of Design Critiques to make sure all I don’t miss any suggestions and ideas from my team members. As I work on editing my designs, I can look back to this Todo List and check off every item I have completed.
6. Alignment Scale
Where to find: Under Widgets
Similar to Poll, this Alignment Scale comes in clutch during Team Meetings or any sort of Discussion that involved many individuals. All the votes will be hidden at first, then you can click “Results Hidden” to turn on the Results.
7. Calendar
Where to find: Under Widgets
Because dates are important! FigJam is really trying to be the best co-lab tool out there, guys. No more awkwardly sharing your own calendar to the rest of the team!
